What is the best hair straightener out there?

Any help will be appreciated. What is the best hair straightener out there?
I would recommend a CHI. As a matter of fact, I believe they're on sale at ULTA! =镁What is the best hair straightener out there?
I've asked a question similar to this several days back, so I can answer from that. I was always hearing that CHI, T3 and Sedu is the best, but if you could find before and after pictures of the Sedu and customer reviews, I am convinced that it is the best straightener out there :D Hope I helped!
CHI all the way. Trust me, I bought about 10 less expensive ones before I gave in and spent the $120 on my CHI. It is the best thing that ever happened to me and I don't know what I ever did without it. :D I have had it 3 years and its still going strong.

P.S. Make sure you ALWAYS use Biosilk or something similiar to protect your hair from the heat of the iron. :)

hair straighteners are really damageing to ur hair...( but i cant live without 1)

it burns ur with the direct heat it is like useing a clothe iron

i reccomend coniar ionic steam hair straightener..it is soooooooooo good!!!!!!

it works better than any other hair straightener i have used!!!!! it uses steam to straightener ur hair the steam locks in moister so ur hair is dead straight n silky!!!! best of all THEIR IS NO FRIZZ

check it out!!!...

if u chack some of the reveiws u will also no wat i mean!!!
I have tried several hair straighteners and the best one that I have found is the Maxiglide. Between the Maxiglide and the Beyond Straight you cannot go wrong.
the chi

What are the best hair straighteners?

for course frizzy hair .got ghd,s at the mo its not geting my hair silky straight ..any better products thanks What are the best hair straighteners?
you have to know how to use it... use product, apply firm pressure and take your time.. ghd is nice..

HAI and CHI are also very nice.. i have never owned a sedhu but i hear they are also nice..What are the best hair straighteners?
wash and condition hair

use leave in conditioner to help detangle and add moisture

use a defrizz cream or serum b4 blowdrying

rough dry hair, then section off hair and finish blowdry using round brush or paddle brush

before straightening, use a lil more serum, then section hair off again and straighten

products:

shampoo - matrix biolage ultra hydrating shampoo, TIGI honey %26amp; oatmeal shampoo

conditioner - TIGI control freak, aussie 3 min miracle, matrix biolage ultra hydrating balm

leave in conditioner - aussie hair insurance or boots own coconut leave in conditioner

defrizz cream/serum - loreal sublime shine serum, TIGI afterparty, TIGI ego boost or TIGI girls toys

uve done the right thing by investing in a good set of GHD's, however, products can play a big part in smoothing hair as well.

me personally, i bleach my hair every 6 weeks and i got 18 inch extensions - and i know tht by using crap products on my hair and using GHD's, yes my hair is straight but it dont feel gd, however using right products and my GHD's my hairs perfect, and where i do have extensions, its important to use products tht keep the hair soft.
The kiyoseki is the best straightner in the world trust me on this one.It can straighten and it can curl your hair if you want. And also when it hot outside your hair stays straight it will not frizz outside. This iron is also healthy for your hair.My hair is poofy frizzy SUPER curly and it works so good on my hair. I really cant live without it. To so see the commercial and reviews go to www.kstyler.com and if you have any questions you can always email me hope this helped.=)

i don't reckon so has to be ghds for me

i have a chi, but from what i hear the two are similar. try using a smoothing serum. that makes all the difference for me.
CHI hair straightners work really well.

=]

My friend also has a Babyliss and a Sedu, those work well too.
These are the top ten best hair straighteners:

http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh鈥?/a>
I have a Sedu brand straightener, and I love it! A lot of people also like Chi brand.
CHI IS DEF. THE BEST!!!
CHI hands down.

What type of hair straightener should I buy?

I have thick, wavy hair and I'm looking for a new sraightener. I don't know what type of straightener to buy though. I want it to get my hair real straight. What type of hair straightener should I buy?
i realllllly love the andis hair straightener from wal-mart. it was only $15 (!!!), it has 20 settings, it heats very quickly, and i think it works as well as a chi. (i've tried my friend's chi) also, i've had 2 different conair straighteners and wasn't happy with either of them nor was i happy with a white revlon one my sister recently bought. hope that helps. What type of hair straightener should I buy?
Ceramic!
Conair, u can buy it at walmart
Get the largest straightening plate you can find 2 inches would be the best. The cheap the straighter the less likely it will straighten your hair. Also try to find one for your hair type.
I have really thick and curly hair and I use the Revlon hair straightener. I set it to the highest level give myself a good deep conditioner and then I go for it. It leaves my hair straight, shiny and not as thick. Although I do prefer the black one for some reason I have always though it worked better maybe this is just me. LOL

Good Luck

What are some good hair straighteners?

My hair is VERY thick and not exactly easy to straighten..i need one that has a good ';squeeze down clamp';...an high heat setting, one with large blades for fast straightening...

Thanks everyone!! i would also like one thats not too expensive but im pretty desperate so if something will work, then i would just about pay anything. What are some good hair straighteners?
I have a green leopard print CHI. I have extremely thick, curly hair that is very hard to manage. My CHI does the job great!

Not to mention, the green leopard print design is super cute! It's $140, but it is SO worth it. I do NOT recommend anything else. Conair wrecks your hair, and so does a lot of other cheaper straigheners. The CHI is a great deal for the money.

Here's some links.

I bought mine at my favorite makeup store called Ulta.

Here is the picture of the CHI I own.

http://search.ulta.com/nav/marketing/chi鈥?/a>

This link shows you which states contain Ulta stores.

http://www.ultacoupons.com/store/

The states in Orange contain Ulta locations. The ones in grey don't.

Hope I helped. :]

I love my CHI. I wouldn't trade it for any other straightener. What are some good hair straighteners?
Chi - i hear they work well.

If you go to sally's they have the generic chi (GVP) it works just as well.

I have thick hair also, for awhile i used a conair one but it

didn't work well. It didn't heat up well.

Now I have a corioliss - it works very well. found it in my local mall at a cart.

Paul Mitchell straighteners work verrryy well.

Go to a beauty store (sally's .. etc.) and ask. Most times they'll help a lot.
well mine is a saramic hair salon one..

It was made by the people who supply the hair salons, and it works great. My hair is kind of thick too, and My hair is natually curly, not like out of control but like a body curl, and I use it it works great, mine was 60 dollars I am sure you can find them cheaper..

Talk to a hair dresser about them ordering you one out of their catalog...They all have them, and they work great!

Most of them get to high temps. and are better than conair, revlon any of hem out there!

Hope I helped...=]
i have really thick hair too. i use a straighten called wet 2 straight. it works really good and you can use it when your hairs wet. and it has really high settings. i don't think it was that expensive.
Coriolis and Chi but they don't have very big blades.

umm don't use a wet or dry they will just fry your hair.

but i had a Revlon one before my chi or Coriolis i have both and it worked GREAT!

and it was only like twenty dollars.
the kind that heat up

edit: sorry i was lazy anyways go down to sallys like the other person suggested
go to sallys.com they are really good!! kinda pricey but they work!

good luck
I have really thick curly hair and I use a Fenici.. it actually works alot faster than my previous ones.
Conair straightners work pretty good.
Buy a Chi or a Babyliss. Those are the best!
i have a CHI it works wonders!!

Edit: Barbie OMG I LOVE URS

  • Hair Straighteners.........?

kk so i live in hawaii..

my hair is very curly and frizzy. :(

what kind of straightner should i use to keep my hair flat for a while? (a day or 2)? any help... thanks.Hair Straighteners.........?
You must buy CHI Flat iron. Thats the best for your hair.Hair Straighteners.........?
Well i have very frizzy hair and i went to Wal Mart and bought the most expencive straightner =p

It works well, but no straightner is going to keep your hair straight after you wash it. If your planning on not washing you hair for 2 days then your hair should stay straight.

Also make sure you use some kind of heat protection product or the heat from the straightner will kill your hair.
well a chi is the best and u will need some seriouse product if u want it to stay like that for 3 days

also my stylist told me that if u brush perm sollution through your hair then use the neutralizer and brush it straight that it can chemically straighten your hair

but id research it like call a sallon and ask before u do it cause im not sure exactly how she said to do it
    this iron: http://www.cosmoprofbeauty.com/pages.aspx?page_id=2299

a chi straightener. there are many kinds for different types of hair, they are the most amazing things ever.

also use all natural de-frizzing products and protectant sprays.

Chi hair straightners are the best you can get, but they are expesive

    :D
    get a ';chi'; ceramic straightener.

their pricey but SO worth it.

and thats so not fair you life in Hawaii! I'm going to be in oahu all summer i'm pumped!

    sorry off topic:)
chi is the way to go!!! but they cost $$$...most are ok but just to dont get a wet to set all of those are terrible
if u go to a salon, they can straighten it good and it will last til your next shower..

or get a chi. theyr good

    Hair straighteners??

I recently bought a Revlon one and spent abouy $40.00. My gf spent over $150.00 for hers (salon brand). Do you really need to pay that much - is it better to use? I thought you would need a professional one if your hair is really curly or something. What do you think? I don't like to use mine too often as it strips your hair and I have thick hair, soft and really shiny and don't want to ruin it......Hair straighteners??
Honeslty coming from a person that went from hair salon to alomst spending alot . do not spend alot of money on a hair straigtner. U can go to ur local walgreens or cvs and buy the vidal sasoon hair straigtner black flat iron it;s about a total of 20.00 bucks and it's the best if you don't want it to damage ur hair get the pantine hair smoothing bottle and it is all good ur ready to go. and all u spent was about 25.oo bucks.Hair straighteners??
I have very thick wavey hair. The hair straighteners like the revlon ones never worked for me. Then I bought a chi. It was so worth the money and my hair is as healthy as ever
I bought my hair straightener for $20.00 it I absolutley love it. I use my curling iron to curl my hair and I use hair serum so that it doesn't strip the oils out. Make sure you get some sort of straightening cream it'll help.
i have a chi flatiron, one inch wide that i got off of the internet for about 100 and its great. for 60 dollars more its WORTH IT!
Yes it probably is better to an extint but I baought one about the same price and mine works great. Muha!
my hair straightner is by revalon and its white with a gold plate and it was $25 and i leave it on for like 10 sec. and its crazzy hot and run it through my hair once and its perfectly straight
well i bought a remington straightner and it works great it cost 27 dollars at walmart and u can use it on wet or dry har
    well , mine cost 200 dlls like a year ago..Its a XION ...

but it's a good hair straightener and it doesn't damage my hair at all.

I used to had a hair straighter that cost me like 40 dlls @ sally beauty supply but it damaged my hair......so I bought the new one.

But If you don't use the hair straighter that much, you should worry about getting a better one
Better her then you... I bought mine for $50.00 at Target.. come with 4 different heat levels and everything and I love love it!!!

I think your friend was silly to spend that much...
if you want to make your hair like its been professionally straightened every day try 1. if not and just sometimes try 2.

1.if i were you i would go to get straight perm.

if you like straight hair; one of my friend who has curly hair and hates it finally did it and let me tell you it looks perfect every day. every day she looks like she just came back from hairdresser.

its very common in asia, thats how they get that ultra straight hair . if you have a korean or chinese or japanese friend tell her to take you to a the foreign hair dresser they do it the best.

    2. http://www.instyle.com/instyle/products/鈥?/a>

this one is the best.it was in the instyle mag. best beauty buys of 2006.

    i have it works perfectly.

if you want warranty from manufacturer (incase) then you can spend 200$ and buy it from nordstroms or sephora.

if you dont care, i bought mine from ebay for 110$.

    good luck :)

    Hair straighteners?

i need a new straightener. One that i can find easily (not at a special hair salon) one like at Target or something. idkk.. thats under $100. i dont want to shop online either. But i want a really hott straightener that will do a good job on my hair.

tell me which ones are the best, where i can get them.. and if you really love me/ want 10pts send me pics and stuff. THANKS! =]Hair straighteners?
    CHI all the wayy!

some chi straighters come with a glossing serumm when you straighten you hair and iheard it makes her really straight.

All though its a bit pricey, its worth it.

Go to your local hair product/makeup store

maybe at ULTA! or just order online

and please dont use revlon, remington, or walmart straightners because they can easily damage your hair like it did to minee : [Hair straighteners?
I'm with the rest CHI is the best it goes to like 375 or 400 degrees no other one will go that high and you can get them now for less than 100. Go with the CHI.
Revlon makes a good one...my friends who have really thick hair can use it and their hair looks cute when we go to town and stuff....Here's one similar to mine, it's a Vidal Sassoon..
the chi is the best straightener that i know of.

Plus, it comes in different colors, like pink =)
Go to Sally's beauty supply and get a Fhi, it works the exact same as a chi but its like 50 dollars cheaper!

    http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa24/鈥?/a>
Go to the hair salon. They can tell you what straightener is best for your specific type of hair. All straighteners under like $90 actually arent that great. Theyre HORRIBLE for your hair and they only last about a year. Ones you order from a hair salon come with warranties of usually 5 years or more and they put moisture back into your hair instead of taking out like what straighteners do. I think the best kind is called a Tigi or something like that
    OHOHOH!!!

I just got a Chi from WalGreenes for 99$, no kidding :]]

and it comes with 2 chi products, and its amazing!!

it says 120 on the website, but mine was 99

    http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j鈥?/a>
Go to a beauty supply store and buy one...they are under $100 and are ceramic
hello. The cheap ones wouldn't work as good as the expensive ones. Try ghd but it's quite pricey though. I've tried it before and it's really good. If you want a cheaper one try babyliss. Good luck!
Remington Wet 2 Straight. It works AMAZING. i have really curly thick hair and it takes me like 20 minutes to straighten it with that. its only like $35-40
im not sure... conair sucks thats all i know dont get that...

i would say go to a hair place when they sell clip ins and dyes like the professional store. and choose one that reaches ur price randge.

because today there are so many crappy striaghteners and they can really kill ur hair.

and if u still go to target or some place like that. take time to look and read the backs.. and stay away from conair!
    chi!

    http://www.curlytostraight.com/CHI.html

    or ghd!

    http://www.curlytostraight.com/GHD.html

try asking at this website too

    www.freewebs.com/iCURIOUS
I think you should get a porcelain one with gold ceramic plates cuz their best for your hair...o and makes sure it has ions or something cuz they work better but don't turn it up all the way no matter what kind you have cuz it can really damage ur hair. also make sure you use some sort of straighter spray on ur hair before so it will straighten better and look shiny and heathy...good luck!
I would go to your local salon and purchase a CHI or a GHD. They work wonders. They're really healthy for your hair, because they straighten your hair buy using magnetic ions, instead of burning your hair with heat. I know you said you don't want to buy one online, but you can get great hair salon quality straighteners online. I would check out Amazon.com. But if you must buy a hair straightener in a store, I would go to your local salon and ask them to order you one, or see if they have one instock! Good luck! =)
    http://www.target.com/gp/search/602-2883鈥?/a>

They'll have many of those straighteners in the Beauty section of Target. However, i don't suggest Conair brand straighteners because a couple years ago they were only 10% ceramic, and i'm not sure how much % cermaic they are now. Revlon is supposed to be good, and Vidal Sasoon are supposed to be really good also! They're probably all good, but Conair will damage your hair. Also, buy one with gold ceramic plates, they're the best for your hair!

    =) Have fun choosing one!
ive been straightening my hair for years now. ive gone through many straighteners and the CHI has worked the best. its kept my hair very healthy and i rarely get split ends. most peopl think my hair is naturally straight. it does an amazing job and its well worth your mony. you can get one at walgreens, target, pretty much anywhere.

    goodluck

    (:
get a GHD (good hair design), mate they are the best, you can straighten large amounts in one go, perfectly every time, and it turns your hair into satin!
The babble and the chi are both awesome
try CHI, theyre REALLY good, even works on my thick, curly hair

    Hair straighteners?

conair is the best kind my mom is a professail hair stylist and she uses conairHair straighteners?
What products do you use to protect your hair from Hair straighteners??????

    Hair straighteners?
they make ur hair straight but it damages ur hair if u dont protect ur hair with a hair product.
they get hot and you clamp them down on a selected part iof hair (about as much as 3 inches wide of hair) and start from the top and slowly move down to the end... it is like an iron for your hair.

it could get damaged so, buy products at beauty stores to maintain and proctect your hair, by putting it on afterward.

if you are talking about prices you can find them CHEAP on ebay, cheap and not good in stores like wal-mart, or good, kind of expensive ones in salons or Maybe wal-mart, that last a lifetime.

(you can get them in assorted colors and sizes and models.)

CHI is a really good brand of them.
The best hair straightener is the Remington Wet 2 Straight. It will straighten really curly hair even when dripping wet. It's the best straightener I have ever used.
i love my hair straight but i never use my straightener anymore because it just damaged my hair... now that ive stopped my hair is much fuller and healthier
what your question here i dont get it
    what about them?
    wat about them

    Hair straighteners...?

Where can I buy some cheap ones?Hair straighteners...?
I personally think cheap hair straighteners won't work as good as those brand names one or the ones in the salons.

But the cheapest i think is at some drugstores like wal mart or something.Hair straighteners...?
i just bought the infinity straightener from wal-mart for $45.00. they have a straightener there that is like $13.00 and it works really good.
I got a great straightener at Wal Mart for about $20. It's by Conair with the ceramic plates. It heats up in less than 30 seconds and I can straighten my hair in less than 5 minutes. My hair is fairly long, to the middle of my back.

    Good luck :)
ebay, and you can get some pretty good ones from like boots, and there only like 拢15, ok, there not the best ones, but the work! and i would look on ebay, for some used straighteners.
Boots. I had some from there -they weren't any good. :(
Just look around there are always special offers on straighteners. Tesco do a good pair and cheap too. Good luck
Boots and Superdrug sell some pretty cheap ones for like 拢20.

    Doubt they're any good though.
    Got mine from Argos :)

They were about 拢20 and they still work (Vidal Sasson)

im thinking of getting a short straight hair style done soon but i keep getting conflicting advice about hair straighteners. ive heard that ghds are the best but im not sure where to get them from and how much they are. my hair is curly and i would like some advice of what is best to use pleaseHair straighteners?
Hi-trust me NO-ONE on this earth has hair frizzier than me !!

And I never spend a fortune on GHDs-get yourself a set of ';HAIRTOOLS THERMO CERAMIC ';straighteners-you can buy them new off ebay-for about 拢35.

I swear by these-I use them all the time and my hair stays poker straight...if only they`d been around back in the 80`s-I wouldn`t have had to dry my fuzz ball hair out even more by crimpimg it to death-lol !Hair straighteners?
ok i heard of chi is the best it all depends where u buy it at my job its not that bad they are like $100 if u have bad curlyy hair try jc penneys or the other stores in the malls they have the best products and the cheap hair sratightners work its more for like wavyy hair thats what i use the cheap hair staightner but for wavyy hair
Yeah, GHD's are great, and well worth the money...
curently i am using chi and babyliss pro 230
ghds - you can get them from all good salons and from the internet only. they will cost around 拢100 unfortunately, but yes, they are the best, nothing else comes close which is why so many people shell out that much for them. i just got short strait too, i love it! peacex
i heard sedu's ar really good, its what most of the celebritys use
hi thx for the help ladies i needed to know some things about hair straiteners and you explainedit all to me thx alot and i will think about hair straiteners. thx alot
u cn get them at Americas Beauty Supply %26amp; they cost $24 to $150! my opinion is dat u get da ones dat cost $32 bcuz dey cause less damage on ur hair! trust me, i hav curly hair 2
I don't know, personally,I would not buy a real expensive straighter when the same one that does an excellent job costs a lot less.

I have a CONAIR hair straightner and I LOVE IT! it works perfect for my hair and its curly.. and it cost like 25-30 dollars at walmart and it makes ur hair REALLY SMOOTH AND REALLY STRAIGHT! and it goes smoothly on your hair. I recommend that to everyone because it works well for me. I had it for 1 year and recommend it to everybody!
In the UK, GHD are the best brand. Like some-one has previously said, you can buy them direct from most hairdressers, or I bought mine in Superdrug for 拢92.99, about a week before Christmas last year. I think they will still be there?

If you are in America, I believe the best brand is CHI, but I dont live there, so I couldnt tell you where to buy them or how much they are =*

Goodluck! I bet your hair will look lovely.

    x
GHDS are worth the money! alot of range saloons sell GHDS or go to the locla website www.ghdhair.com before you straighten your hair use a heat protecting spray or straighting cream and let it atleast be 80% dry for lesser damamger and section it off and straighten it! :)
GHD'S are very good. you can get them from boots or hair salons. i have Toni and gut ones and they are good, you can get a chemical that works like a perm but to straighten hair.
GHDs are definately the best. If you are getting your hair cut short, then ask your hairdresser to use their GHDs on you (all hairdressers have them, so they must be the best). If you go through something like Salon Services, or know someone in the trade you could get them for around 拢80. Also, GHD have a good website where you can watch videos of hair styling.
i have a short bob and just use cheap ceramic staighteners for argos which are great.

ghd are quite expensive around 拢60-80 last i heard and are considered to be excellent.
if your hairs curly DONT cut ur hair short! personal experience. I did this and it just went all puffy and outwards (my hairs curly) .. and you won't want to be straightening it all the time %26lt; to much hassel .
GHD's are the best, you can buy them for about 拢100 quid off their website or go to e-bay and get them for about 拢50.
GHD's are the best buy, they last and are made so that you only have to go over your hair once with them, so that you don't have to keep going over and over the same bit. They are also really smooth and glide over your hair. I've had my hair long and really short, and they've been great.

I got mine from their website, but you can also get them from hairdressers (be careful they don't charge you more tho!). Good luck in finding some that suit you.
GHD's are definitely the best!!! you can get them from some hair dresser's and salons or off the Internet. They are well worth every penny! go for it :-D

ghds are only the label, go to you local hair dresser and thye will give u some just as good and half the price. Or you can but straighteners online.
CHI is seriously the best hairstraightener you will ever invest in. I've used many different types and have never been happier than I am with my CHI. It's a bit pricy, costs up to 200 dollars in salons. I got mine at the JcPenney Salon for 80 bucks. It was originally 150, but it was on sale.

It straightens just about any kind of hair and it does not harm your hair at all.

You can also get the heat protecting CHI spray which keeps your hair healthy and shiny.

    Good Luck!
k CHI is the best straightener by FAR.

    they're about 200 dollar at a store

but like i got one new from ebay for 80 bucks
ghd's are definitely the best, i have wild frizzy hair and these are the only ones that work. i got them directly from my hairdresser, they are quite expensive though - i paid 拢100

    Hair straighteners???

    any ceramic straightener
I use the Remington Wet to Straight straightner and I think it is wonderful. It has different heat settings for how thin or thick your hair is, and how wet or dry it is. I got it for like $27 at Walmart.

    http://www.remington-products.com/hairca鈥?/a>
Chi, FHI, solia, sudia (sp?...suda.) Are good.
    chi straighteners are best
Conair is the best brand for expensive, but once you start straighting your more you will want to invest in a more expensive one.
Inexpensive straighteners wont be good. They will damage your hair more. Its ok to invest in a good quality straightner.

    Hair straighteners!!?

i straighten my hair pretty much everyday and im trying to grow it really long but it just seems like it grows to certain length and stops, is this because i straighten it?

if not how long does it normally take for hair to grow pretty long

    thanks =]Hair straighteners!!?
try not to do it every day. switch styles throughout the week. also dont blow dry it every day. let it air dry as often as you can. get monthly deep condition treatments as well as trims. keeping it trimmed gets rid of split ends. split ends grow up your hair like a run in a nylon.

when you straighten your hair always use a serum, thermal protectant or a shine spray to protect your hair.

use flat irons with ceramic or titanium plates.Hair straighteners!!?
My sister goes to beauty school and she told me that if you straighten/blow dry or curl your hair too much it gives you split ends faster and if you don't trim those dead hairs at least once a month they will just split in half and eventually fall off or just wont grow at all so if i where you I would just make sure that you trim your hair and also make sure that when you straighten your hair use heat protection that is really important.well good luck!
It stops growing because it is breaking off from everyday usage. Try to leave it ';natural'; atleast a couple days a week, (maybe days when you aren't going out), that will help it grow fast. Also be sure to use protein treatments and hair fortifying serums, that will aid the growth as well.
Do you get regular trims? Maybe it's the ends that are breaking so it doesn't seem to be getting longer. Trimming the ends gets rid of the breaking ends and helps maintain the health. I think peoples hair grows at different rates. I cut 9 inches off a few years ago and it's been back down to my waist for awhile. I just keep it trimmed. Hopefully you'll be able to notice a difference soon. Good luck.
It could be that you're damaging your hair.. make sure you're using a heat protector on your hair before straightening it.. and yes trim it every 4-6 weeks! :]
Everybody has a point at which their hair stops growing. Trim and wait that's all you can do.

    Hair Straighteners?

I'm a guy and I was just wondering what hair straighteners are good. I was thinking of purchasing a Sedu but I'm not sure which one is best. I'm just using it to straighten obviously so help is appreciated.Hair Straighteners?
I use the Sedu 1 inch. My hair is medium/short and my daughter's hair is long. It works great with both our types of hair. You can read all kinds of positive reviews and also get a pretty good deal at www.folica.comHair Straighteners?
I love the Chi. I have the basic 1'; model and the 3/4'; one for my bangs. If your hair is short you might like the 3/4'; one better (makes is easier to get close the the root)

As for heat protection products, I am a HUGE fan of the Kerastase line. The Ciment Thermique is supposed to be amazing for heat-styled and damaged hair.
Sedu is awesome...i have one and love it! I heard T3 has good ones too.

Whatever you do make sure you purchase it from a place that accepts returns. That way if you do not like it, you can get another or your money back.
HAI is the best! I've used it for YEARS and every girl and guy I know uses it. Also, most beauty supply recommend it. I use the version with the blue heat plates.
    Try Wigo.
    Chi is better than Sedu.
In terms of equipment, purchase a good ceramic straightener for the best results. Helene of Troy has an awesome one (I've had it for years)

You might also want to combine that with some product. You can buy all sorts of straightening lotions or gels to use pre-flat ironing, or you can buy serums and sprays to apply afterward to keep the hair flat.

    Good luck!
I have a 1 inch standard CHI and I am in love.

My hair is soft, silky, stays straight, and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Whatever you buy though, I recommend getting a heat resistant product to protect your hair.

  • Does anyone know about the hair straightener brand HairStyler?

I was in Westefields the other day, walking with my friends, when a guy from a stand asked me if I wanted to try the HairStyler hair straightener. I said ok and he made a curl in my hair. Then he said the HairStyler is better than GHD and he gave me his card to come back that day and buy for a discount. However, on the card there was no website. Does anyone know about the HairStyler and how good they are? Thank you so much for any help. Does anyone know about the hair straightener brand HairStyler?

What is the best/cheapest hair straightener/curler?

I'm looking for a straightener/curler that's not too expensive. I don't want a small barrel. I'd need it to heat up rather quickly. needs to be good straightener too. something that wont frizz as well! thanks dudes! What is the best/cheapest hair straightener/curler?
The best straightener for a good price would be the Remington Wet2Dry. I seen it at Ulta for about $30 or 40. Not sure if you would consider that expensive, but it's almost as good as a CHI. It can even straighten on damp hair, but I wouldn't recommend that.

As for the curling iron, I'm no expertise on those products because I rarely curl my hair. I've heard great reviews on Conair curling irons, and they come with a variety of barrels.

    Hope I helped(=

    Are ther any hair straighteners.............?

.........that work just as well as the CHI straightener that works good on curly hair? %26amp; Please could you tell me where I could buy it? Oh, and I can't buy anything online so don't say ebay or something ok? thanks!!!Are ther any hair straighteners.............?
oh my gosh, DON'T get the conair ones.

they will damage your hair so much. trust me. i have one, and my hair's like..ugh.

uhm..if you go to a hair salon, then try getting a solia..they work on damp hair, and they get really good reviews on folica (website) or you could get a T3, and it works on wet hairAre ther any hair straighteners.............?
    Porcelain Series.

    Buy it at;Sally Beauty Supply!
The Remington wet2straight straightener is really good and not that expensive.
the wet to straight one or and connair ones

Is the hair Straightener I got a good one?

I got a herstyler in my mall. It was 99.99$. If you have heard about them or have one..is it a good one? The guy at the mall said it was but that was probally just to make a sell.Is the hair Straightener I got a good one?
People have the worst hair, after several months using heating tools.

People at the store who sells them, DON'T even use them. People who invented them DON'T use them. It's all about selling %26amp; marketing and for you to spend money.

Models with healthy hair, don't use them. But many girls under 30 use them, then they're back on YA with hair problems: my hair not growing, hair falling, hair frizzy, hair too dry, how to make my hair grow, etc.... They have the same hair problem, as women between 60-80, but it took them years for that to happen. And they're the same girls giving advice here.

You can buy the most expensive shampoo or conditioner, but you still get the same result from the cheapest product.

Are designer bags better because they're expensive, but they're still Made in China, is that mean they're better? I don't think so!Is the hair Straightener I got a good one?
I just recently got one of those and it's really good! I have really fine, smooth hair that doesn't like to hold a curl EVER and if I do my hair the way they showed me (using the straightener to curl it), I can have curls for an entire night out, which has never been possible for me. The only problem I have with mine is that I'm not very good at using it as a curler yet, so it takes me a while. I hope you got one of the solid color ones, because the ones with prints have a different type of heating plate which is not quite as nice.
if you were going to spend that much you should have gone with a better brand...CHI or GHD. Just because it cost $100 doesn't mean it is worth a penny. What kind of heating element is in it? What kind of flat plates are used? I'm a hair stylist and I've never heard of it.
Yeah if its expensive it has to be a good one.

The ones that are like 50$ help it from being damaged.

So if its a hundred thenn probably.

    Good luck

    Xx Bree
there's no such thing as a good hair straightener, all products such as this are damaging to the hair and can cause scalp condition which later can produce disease to the scalp and hair loss that could be irreplacable.
    more expensive more the better.
Never heard of it. But if it costs that much, it most definently has to be good :)
Uhh.. it'd be a lot easier to tell if we knew the name!!
what company is it from ?

Can a hair straightener cause a fire even though it's unplugged and off?

just from being hot?Can a hair straightener cause a fire even though it's unplugged and off?
I doubt it.. but if its on and it hits water yes.Can a hair straightener cause a fire even though it's unplugged and off?
    Yes.

    Essentially, for a fire to start all you need is heat, air, and a fuel source to burn on. Think about that;

    -Heat-Straighteners

    -Air-Air (duh)

-Source-Well, not sure, but I wouldn't recommend leaving it on paper or gasoline, lol.

Some brands of hair straighteners will actually catch on fire themselves, even unplugged, so be careful.
it depends on the straightener most likely.

some can get really hot, and stay hot for a while after they're unplugged. but some don't heat up very much at all.

it could, if it's hot enough and if it's by any thing flammable.

    Narrower Or Wider Hair Straighteners??

I'm thinking about buying a Narrow Hair Straightener because the one I have at the moment is a Wide one.

So before I 'splurge' lol, I need to know if I really NEED to buy a new Hair Straightener. Which one is better, a Narrower or a Wider Hair Straightener?? And Why??

Thank You!!! =]Narrower Or Wider Hair Straighteners??
I just got a wider one but my hair is longer and hard to straighten. I love my narrow one if I want to put a little flip on the end or if I want to spiral a few pieces. (I'm too cheap to buy a curler). With the wider ones its harder to do that. Its all in what you want.Narrower Or Wider Hair Straighteners??
i think the narrower one is for shorter, layered styles and the wide is for more one length, long styles....
it depends on the length of your hair and the texture of your hair. if your hair is long, thick, or curly, a wider hair straightener is best. if your hair is medium length or shorter, or if it's fine/thin/not curly a narrower straightener is better for you.
    wide definetly

    Hair straighteners?

hi i've been thinking of investing in a really professional good flat iron. I had a solia for 2 years and it just keeps the frizz in my hair, but it does make it pretty straight but sometimes it will get puffy. I have really curly/puffy/frizzy hair. I'm not really caring about price right now so any suggestions would be helpful, i just want something that eliminates frizz and adds shine, yet flattens my hair w/o too much volume. i saw an FHI runway pure ceramics styling iron online and if anyone has seen it i just want to know if its any good. thanks so much!Hair straighteners?

I dont know about those irons but the ghd straightener is really good I have curly hair too and I find them great good luck
I've heard that ,despite the expensive flat-iron hype, (such as the CHI) they aren't all that great. I use a twenty dollar flat-iron, (my hair is wild waves with a nasty amount of frizz) and it works!

A good flat-iron for shine is the Red-edition Conair - it's only $29.99 at ULTA retailers.

    Good luck!

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

Wanna know, what is the best one to buy and why? (brands and or whatever you can share with me!)and how much do they go for ,generally? All of you got me to thinking..(well, actually I was kind of curious before! LOL! But, I might like to have one..if it will help get rid of the frizzies on the lower end of my long hair!!!)

    Thanks!Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?
well i dont know about which hair straightener is the best, but if you go too a beauty store they have silk serums you can buy....put it on your tips and it will smooth them outOkay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?
ceramic irons are better for your hair, it doesn't burn it as much and i read something about it sealing the moisture in your hair, so it doesnt' dry out and get all gross fast.

i really like chi's, i have one right now and it works really good. my friend has a hai and she said that one's really good for her. those start at around $100 depending on which one you buy.

check out folica.com :) that's where i bought my chi from
If you have very fine hair, heavily dyed hair or light blonde hair, it's best to buy a straightener with tourmaline or ceramic plates. These both allow a more even distribution of heat, and tend to be a smoother surface for your hair to glide across. Steer clear of titanium because it's harsher on fine, coloured or blonde hair.

Look for one with adjustable heat settings, not just one heat setting, as the high heat may be too hot for your hair.

Just a tip - to avoid frying your hair too much, if a strand of hair needs going over twice, wait for the strand to cool completely before you re-do it with the iron.

Make sure your hair is completely dry before you start to iron.

Always use a heat protection or smoothing serum; not the sprays as they tend to evaporate and leave your hair frazzled (as does any moisture if you leave your hair wet).

Even though they are more expensive, straighteners over about the $80 mark tend to be of better quality, but you can often pick up a cheapie which does the job equally as well - make sure you get a recommendation before you buy though.

    Hope these tips help. =)

    Good luck!
the con-air ceramic technology works like magic with any type of hair
Make sure that you get a ceramic one. I haven't found a difference between the ones that cost well over a hundred dollars and the ones that are between $20 and $40, so I would spend a ton of money on one. Be sure to use a product on your hair that is specifically for straightening it before you subject your hair to the heat. Also use a serum or a wax based product to smooth the ends when you're done. One more thing, narrow straighteners are better than wide ones because you can get closer to the roots of your hair, and you can get the shorter hairs along your hair line.
I love love love my CHI. I bought it on sale for $80, but they generally go for $100 or more. Totally worth it if you have crazy curly hair like me. If you don't, you can get away with a cheaper iron.
Hot Tools Professional Model 1190 is what I use. A hairdresser recommended it to me because the ones you can buy at drugstores (like Conair brand) weren't working well.

If your hair is only a little frizzy or slightly wavy maybe the drugstore ones would work well for you.

I thought i spend $30-$40 but that was a few years ago... I googled it and found it for $15-20 on some websites. Amazon has it for $20. Maybe it's gone down in price because Hot Tools has come out with nicer models... I'm not sure.
I have heard very good things about the brand CHI and ceramic does seem better. If you want a good straightener you will probably be looking at about 100 dollars or so.
if you are looking for the best, id say chi. jcpennys has a sale 142.00 plus 25 % off...127. and some change after tax. some come with silk serum. but for the first time user i would say get one with a temp gauge so you dont burn your hair. yes it will help with the frizzies, if you go cheaper, use a heat protector spray or serum, if serum, dont put alot on..it can make your hair very greasy and weigh it down.
    conair ceramic

if i were you, i wouldn't buy GHDs. they are over expensive, and you can get other, cheaper straighteners that work just as well, as well as having 3 year guarantees and harming your hair less.

I would suggest the babyliss cordless 230, which i have, because it is really effective, and i got it for only 拢15 at comet. it also has many heat settings and goes up to 230 degrees.

I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best. What is the best hair straightener?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big

Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

What is the best hair straightener to use?

i have a chi and no that bad because you cant control the temperature, i need a straightener that isnt so bad for your hairWhat is the best hair straightener to use?
Anyone that heats up to 500 degrees. What is the best hair straightener to use?
I thought you can control the temperature on a CHI? Mines and my friends you can. All you need is a heat protection spray, CHI makes an AMAZING one for like $12. If you love you CHI and worried about hair damage get the heat protection spray. I think it's called CHI's 44 iron guard.
Go to sally's and ask them to recommend a flat iron that won't damage your hair to much, and where you can control the heat. I did that and ended up with a really nice one that cost me about 70 dollars. But I got a free curling iron with it, too =)
i have a wet to straight straighterr thats made by revon i think, theirs lots of different settings and the instructions tell you what number setting to use on your hair type, it works really well(:
I use a conair, a wet 2 straight, and Revlon StyliX
Babybliss %26amp; bedhead, but I prefer baby bliss.

  • Hair straighteners?

My straightners stopped working last night. I paid 拢80.00 for them a few months ago (my hairdresser got them from her wholesalers). Can't find the warrenty so have to shell out for a new pair! They were by Bespoke Labs T3 tourmaline technology whatever that means. Can anyone recommend a realy good straightner? I've heard GHD are the best - what does this stand for? My hair is very dry and frizzy so I have to be careful what I use (I try to only use them a couple of times a week).

Any advise would be appreciated.Hair straighteners?
GoodHairDay! they certainly do what they say on the tin, honestly i have them and they are the best, wouldn't use any other ones. i got mine from the internet with a free heat mat thing and at a cheaper price! although the wire has gone seriously curly which is dangerous not sure if thats a fault on my part though :) i have frizzy hair and they works wonders, as for very dry use a heat proof cream first.Hair straighteners?
My hair is thick and frizzy and dry, i use ghd's i have no idea what they stand for, but ive had nearlt every other type of straighteners and these are the best by far, they smooth my hair so it doesnt frizz, also because they get really hot my hair can stay straight for 2 days, they all cause damage to your hair, just try not use them that often... also its ace how they heat up in like 10 secs... xx
I use Andrew Collinge ones they are like a silvery blue colour with a digital display. I tried ghd's which I think stands for good hair day couldn't get away with them. I think everyone has different preferences when it comes to straighteners my friend swears by hers but they don't work that well on my hair. I would recommend mine but that's not to say they will work for you. They are only cheap can get them from Argos for bout 拢25 or might be less now. Mine also came with a free straightening gel stuff which is awesome for frizz.
GHD stands for 'Good hair day'.

I personally use GHD's and think they are fantastic! I like you, paid 拢80 for them, and they haven't let me down so far! It depends how much you want to spend on your hair straightenrs, and what results you want! I suggest if you have thin hair, it may not be the best option for you, as they are extremely hot. GHD's don't damage your hair as much as other straightners, so this is another bonus.

As for you ahir being dry, there are many shampoos and conditioners designed epsecially for dry hair, which is very good!

Hope this helps, good luck! x
MAXIGLIDE!! its not cheap but i had mine for 3 years now!

it has a steam button to tame the frizz %26amp; you can go a few days before needing to wash %26amp; straighten again

GHD- Good hair day, they are the best. They are expensive but they last. My first pair lasted 5 years before they broke. Once you try them you will never go back!

    i'm a hairdresser btw.
GHDs are awesome - it stands for Good Hair Day. They are expensive, but really worth it.
chi by farouk hair systems. $100 usd

    best for the value
Yeah GHD's are the best, it stands for Good Hair Day. They're about 90 pounds new but definately worth it.

    That's a Cortex..incase you didn't know..=]Hair straighteners?
    Theres once called herstyler.

once of them is 250, i have that one and it

works good. %26amp;%26amp; They have way cheaper ones

too. go to herstyler.com, and click enter when

you get there. %26amp;%26amp; then go to collection and it will

show you lots of them. If youre looking for one that

is for like one occasion, Try Wal*Mart or their hair

    salon. Good Luck =DHair straighteners?
i have a chi and i absolutely love it. i bought it on ebay for about $79 and after shipping it was $90. i have also heard the the sedu are pretty good.
    Solia
revlon and conair are the worst. I have a ghd and its alot better then a chi but more expensive. Try useing the bedhead one its %26amp;9 dollars are works nicely. but if you get anymore money i would recomend the ghd.
sedu is the best for the price or fhi or ghd but they are like $300
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.
TIGI works awesome and i think its only 60 or 70 hair i have thick wavy-ish hair and i staighten it in like 10min. or less with the bed head straightner and plus i have the 2in. one not the 1in.
my solia is amazing. i have very curly thick hair %26amp; it works great %26amp; i've had it for a while now too. not to mention durable, its jumped off my counter too many times but still working like when i got it. Also its good on the hair.. i've tried others before but this is my favorite. highly recommend
What about Conair? I have a CHI, but I also have a Conair and it works equally well. TIGI is also really good.
    Sedu is fab

    Hair straighteners!!!!!!!?

my hair straightener takes bout 45mins to 1 hour only to straighten my hair!!!! is there a straightener dat only takes bout 5-10 mins??? i have very very curly hair and its also frissy!!! or there isnt anyy straighteners like dat is there anything that i can get the frizz out so it will just stay curly i like curly hair too????Hair straighteners!!!!!!!?
hey yo gurl maybe you should get dat gramma fixed.

Anyways, there aren't really any straighteners that would take only 10 minutes to straighten your hair. However, a good straightener like the chi could take maybe 20-30 minutes, which would still be an improvement.Hair straighteners!!!!!!!?
I have wavy/curly hair and I can straighten my hair with my chi in at the fasted a half hour give or take. I have been through three chis in three years...they all seem to break after a year regardless of whether or not you've dropped them a lot, and they will get dropped! In their last stage they flicker on and off and this makes it really difficult to use so it's time for another! I keep buying them though because they are SO great. It gets your hair pin straight and my sister(who has super curly hair) likes straightening and then styling her hair with it like making big curls or flipping out the ends. I like the ones that are an inch thick, they are small but so magical! Maybe if you get a bigger model straightening takes less time. You can get a basic one inch chi, brand new with a warranty on eBay from a reliable seller for $70, they're more expensive in a salon. And if you see any that have a bonus bottle of chi silk infusion get it, it's a silky solution for the frizzies, makes your hair shiny...kind of like biosilk but smells AMAZING. Whatever you do get a ceramic iron and nothing less. Copper plates or whatever else will really mess up your hair. They have cheap ceramic ones at like target which I have tried and they just don't do the job. Get a chi and you will be ecstatic with the results!
I recently bought a hair straightener made by Conair, try going to their website and others like Walmart, and look for ones with timers on them(super helpful!). They heat up very fast and work well. Very affordable too!
if you straighten your hair, you will loose your curls. Use an anti-frizz product if you want to wear it curly. And no there is no straightener that will take only 10 min. I have a chi and curly hair, and it takes only 20 min
Chia or something like that CHE-A
For the frizz problem us Dream Curls by John Freda. It works really well. And for a hair straightner us a cermatic they heat faster and get hotter so it takes less time to fix haif
cortex int, best straightener ever created .
Have you tried the CHI straightener? It is expensive (about $130) but VERY worth it! It staightens my hair and makes it smooth and shiny in about 5 min!

    Hair straighteners?

what are some good hair straightners to use? liike the brand name? %26amp; like low priced ones too.Hair straighteners?
it depends how expensive you want to go...i work at an ulta beauty store/salon....CHI would be considered the best but your looking in the hundreds for it. another would be the 1'; FHI technique G2 pink edition which also works well that is around $70. my favorite though would be ';salon creations'; 1 1/4th'; professional ceramic straightening iron. it works just as good for half the price...its only like $35 at any sally salon store. i have that one and i love it. its been the best and does a great job considering i have very wavey %26amp; thick hair. =]Hair straighteners?
i've used the conair ceramic straightners for like 6 yrs .. i love them ive only had to replace it once %26amp; it only costs $24 .. my friend has a really expensive one %26amp; it does the same thing that mine does except it burns her hair.. with the conair straightener ive never burned my hair %26amp; it gets my hair completely straight it really works so why pay soO much money for a ';designer'; straightener when you can pay $24 for the same thing
    Bedhead

    Chi is good too

if you want a good hair straightener then it would at least cost

    around $65

but if your looking for something cheaper

the i would go with Conair

    but i wouldnt recommend it

it takes too long to heat up and burns your hair

make sure when your straightening your hair put in an anti thermal to protect your hair against damage

    hope this helps=]
you wanted low price and eveyone that says chi is so great must have the money to dish out or parents do. My friend has a chi and that is what they use at most salons but I love my revlon flat iron, I got from walmart. I also have a vidal sasson and it sucks compared to my revlon one. Even though I have thought about getting a chi I don't want to spend the money when I have a cheap one that works great. I am a stay at home mom and I watch HSN and they had one on there that is expensive but doesn't burn you hair like every other flat irob including the chi. I would save for that but not the chi.

    http://beauty.hsn.com/maxiglide-hair-styling-kit_m-10033037_xp.aspx?web_id=4111929%26amp;sf=bs%26amp;attr=3098%26amp;ocm=BS|3098%26amp;prev=hp!sf!3098%26amp;ccm=BS|3098
Go to Rite Aid and buy a hot iron. They are like 25 dollars and they work miricles. My hair can NOT be straighten with a blow dryer or just any **** I repeat CAN NOT but I went there and bought ';Remington Wet2straight'; and it WORKED!

Honey I cried I was amazed that my hair could be straightend!

I might sound like a commercial but I dont trust another brand!

Good luck on such a deadly mission!

    =D
i like conair. don't listen to all the idiots who tell you to get a chi. they're not ';better'; for your hair. if anything, they're worse. they heat up to 400-some degrees, and idiots feel that they need these professional tools because they're expensive and need to have the ';best';.
    my hair straightner is revlon.

its relly good. i have the black and gold one.

its from walmart $20. its reli cheap and works good.

but you should get the white one that says ceramic on it because that doesnt damage your hair as much.

    same brand name though..

    revlon.(:

    try it its good.
My friend has a $100 straightener from Bedhead. She said it works like magic. But I bought a $15.00 one from Target two years ago and it works like a billion dollar one. It's from Conair.
i have a remington. it is pink and brown and you can get it at target. it works really well for me and i have curly hair too. i blowdry my hair first though. chi is really good but it costs a lot depending on what salon you get it from.
there aren't any cheap straighteners that are good for your hair, no matter what the packaging says. the only thing i can recommend is that you save money to get a good straightener like a chi or sedu because they are usually around $100
i have always used conair..the gold plated one's.

my skinny one was only about 30 bucks and it is amazing.

i've tried a silver plated wet-dry one..it wasn't very good and only lasted about 3 months.
    Bedhead is nice. :]

Chi works great too but it's

    a pretty strong brand. x__x

    I like conair too. x]
ive had a cheap conair ceramic flat iron that i bought like last year, and it was just 20 bucks.

    it works amzing
CONAIR is the best! Good Luck!
Conair. CHI burns your hair too much. =]
chi's is the best one on the market
    sedus or chis

conair is cheap but doesnt work well

    i've had one before

    Hair straighteners?

What's a good straightener that won't damage your hair? I'm leaning more like towards Wal-Mart or Target. Not too priceyHair straighteners?
Buy the most expensive one you can afford. I paid 50 bucks for mine and it works great.

Also, if you buy a more inexpensive one, make sure to buy some protector spray for your hair because the cheaper irons are bad on your hair.Hair straighteners?
I got just the thing the (Conair Infiniti) has a 5 year waranty and 100% soilid ceramic and around $40.00 dollars works so good I 鈾? mine. Good Luck!
Go to mall and when you get to mall there is a man he Selle's hair straighteners in the middle of the mall.
try connor products that what i have and I had one before this 1 and I had it 4 2 years before it burnt out
My friend has the Revlon Perfect Heat flat iron and it works pretty well.

However, if you're looking for an extremely good straightener I suggest the Chi. It's a bit pricey though (around $100).
The BEST straightner that I have come across and recommend is the CHI flat iron. Ceramic is not as damaging to the hair. I absolutely LOVE it. Use it with the CHI Silk Infusioin (just apply a dime size amount to your hand and rub it evenly throughout your hair- non greasy). A bottle of the CHI Silk Infusion came with my CHI flat iron and a one year warrenty. Good luck!
The nature of the product is to damage your hair.
Buy a ceramic hair straightner. They are pricier but for a cause. They tend to be lighter on the damaging of your hair. You're also going to spend around 10 dollars more for one. I believe Wal Mart has them for $30.

    Hope you find one!
Straightening your hair, regardless of the straightner, will damage your hair. I think there's some products that help it from becoming too damage like, though.

  • Hair straighteners!!!!!!?

Hey!!!!!!!!! I have straight hair but i have kinks or flyaways and i was thinking of getting a hair straightener!!! Should i? Does it damage your hair even if you put protective serum on it or does it not?

And if i do what kind of things must i get with it and which brand of straightener should i get?

thanks for answering my question dudeee.

Oh by the way i'm only 14 should i use it? I'm scared it might ruin my hair.Hair straighteners!!!!!!?
Well it can burn u if ur not careful and it can fry ur hair if u use it too much but u should get one heres a website w/ the top 10 hair straighteners http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh鈥?/a>Hair straighteners!!!!!!?
You can get a chi and use the chi oil..but they are EXEPENSIVE!

But i do recommend the chi oil! it keeps your hair silky and ive noticed less damage when i use it.

For a staightner..get one that says ceramic and you can change the temp settings

if your hair is curly i would get one that can get to about 345 F or more... if not try to keep the temp low
My hair is the same way and im 16. You can use a straightener just dont use it everyday, i mean you can do touch ups but not your whole head. The best straightener to buy is the Conair flat iron with turbo boost it only cost $13 and u can find it at Walmart. It really works, that's the only flat iron that works on my hair.
every1 has a straightner dont put anything on it get a conair ceramic 4 $11
    yupp!

but dont straighten your hair EVERY SINGLE DAY. once every two weeks wont hurt.

get TRESemme Straightening Gel to protect your hair from damage, and get a Chi ($100-$150) or a Conair ($20-$35)

the Chi works better, but the Conair is cheaper! you choose.

lol dont worry im thirteen and my hair's just fine even though i've been straightening it once every 2-3 weeks. (no damage/split ends)

BTW get your straightner from Ulta!

    ~peace~
yeah, you should deff. get one. it wont really ruin your hair unless you use it way too much, or dye your hair alot

also if you get Paul Mitchell super skinny serum it helps with protecting your hair %26amp; making it shine. it also smells really good.
GHD man im 14 as well it works for any hair ,Afro, curly, brittle, frizzy anything and if you want to buy them get them off eBay.its a bargain and trust they wont ruin your hair ok ?
CHI straighteners are great for your hair!!!!!!!!!!

If you're going to buy any type of straightener, buy a Chi!
Get an ionic straightner with seramic plates. also get a spray for ur hair that will protect hair from the heat. they sell this all at Sallys Beauty Supply. do it carefully though! dont do it every day though!!!! you can straighten ur hair but then put it in a wrap %26amp; wash ur hair every 3 days. make sure when u wash ur hair out that u wash it very, very well! I hope i helped!
This is a great website try it http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh鈥?/a>

If not try this, go to google and write hair straighteners

This website is not like Kitty Cats website
i don't even use protective stuff... just as long as you use a good leave in conditioner like once a week you'll be fine

i would recommend an inexpensive conair for you because you're just straightening pieces not the whole hair. I have a wigo and it works great too (for a little more cash). conairs are about $20-$30 and my wigo was like $65
I'm 12 and i've been using one since I was about 10 or 11. It hasn't damaged my ahir and i rarely use a protective thing on it. I use conair. i think it's the best company. So anyway...I think you should get one if you are un-happy with ur hair.

oh yeah. Chi straighteners. they r probably what you should get. theyre great 4 ur hair and everything
Its not like you shouldnt get one but just dont use it everyday! my friend has for two years and her hair is HORRIBLEE!! get conair or somthing ....it doesnt matter if its really good if your hair is prretty much straight but make sure to get some heat protecter!
the chi, its kinda expensive, but worth it!!

also if thats too muhc money... a regular one like at target or walgreens will work (ex- revlon), just go over your hair more times!!

put something on your hair before you straighten it to protect it. they also have products like that, just gotta look around!

just dont do it every day. it wont ruin your hair, just use it when you reallly need it!
Get a CHI a little pricey but worth it. Only flatiron clean dry hair. Do not apply any oil to your hair before straightening, because happens when you apply heat to oil? It burns! Use a good shampoo and conditioner and use a styling stick to keep the flyaways down if you have alot. (bedhead makes one and it works great) You rub the styling stick on your hand and then rub your hands together and then smooth down flyaways. If your hair is clean when you flat iron you should have a natural shine, otherwise catwalk shine spray works well and doesn't leave your hair greasy or oily.
Since you already have straight hair.. you definately don't need a CHI straighter.. the most you should spend is about $30. It really shouldn't ruin your hair unless you plan to use it everyday.
jeez.. yes. -_- you should get it. it only ruins your hair if you buy a reeeeally cheap on and if you straighten your hair when it's wet your hair will most likely catch on fire. not bad fire. but like 1 second flame. it happened to my friend. unless you buy the somewhat expensive hair straightener called ';Wet to Straight'; or something like that. I have that one..

and I started straightening my hair at 11.. so you should be fine.

    :]
I have a couple. They are not very expensive, but don't get a really cheap one because it is more likely to ruin your hair.

Try brands such as Revlon and Vidal and maybe Conair.

Make sure that it has the right settings for your hair because that could cause damage.

As a rule of thumb, it would be a good idea not to straighten your hair more than 3x per week. Also, get a shampoo that repairs damaged hair.
I have straight hair to and when i straighten my hair it makes it smoother. I put a little serum on the ends of my hair to protect the ends, but other than that i dont think it will damage it that much.
Don't worry about ruining your hair that only happens if you don't protect your hair and if you straighten like every day, all the time. My straightners are Morphy Richards Headgear 22060 and very funky (they're pink!) and I highly recomened them. And the protection. I use sunsilk straight, it's in a purple bottle.

    Don't worry!

    Laraxx
I would deff. use a CHI straightener.

Using a protector does not get you away with damaging your hair, it helps reduce that factor though.

    I would recomend using

    http://www.tresemme.com/heat/how-it-work鈥?/a>

Tresemme is salon formula, but its super cheap.

    :D
    i m only 17 years old.

i just try hair straightener a few month ago.

it is OK for me, it will not damage your hair.

    about the brand...

i think u do the hair straightener at salon is better
Probably GHD's! Don't use them every day though, i knew a girl who did and all her hair broke off! And if you have really really thin hair, then probably no! But ALWAYS use hair protecting serum before you use hair straigtners!
Straighteners will not damage you hair if used correctly. Many brands now heat up to 210 degrees. Use on completely dry hair after applying serum. Small amount of serum (small pea) into palms of hand - rub hands together apply through mid lengths and ends (never apply direct to roots as will appear greasy) then rub palms together again use this residue to tame any flyaway strands and reduce static. Serum can be applied before and after straightening. Remember to keep straighteners moving, a firm but fluid movement down length of hair - to not hold on any one area as this will create a line from side of straightener and poss singe the hair. Regular trims every 8-12 weeks will remove any damaged dry ends. When Washing use separate shampoo and conditioner.
If you have your hair straightened permenently you'll damage it too much.the best hair straightener is the GHD but there about $300.they come with an oil that you lightly spray on your hair.i bought my neice one for her birthday.another tip is too not use it every day
