Can you use a hair straightener to iron clothes when you don't have an actual iron?

It won't catch fire, an iron is even hotter than hair straighteners, why would anybody think they're too damaging to use on clothing when you put your hair through them which is much more delicate? There are some crazy people around. But i doubt it would straighten your clothes out much unless as somebody suggested, you were ironing your socksCan you use a hair straightener to iron clothes when you don't have an actual iron?
Frankly I wouldn't, but I suppose you could. They both have metal plates that heat up, and it is called a straightening iron or a flat iron so....

Try a lower heat first, just to be safe because I'm not sure about the temperature differences.

Cool idea, though. Can you use a hair straightener to iron clothes when you don't have an actual iron?

I did it once when i was in a hurry . It does'nt work very well though because you cant reach to all the creases. I wouldnt recommmend it just get an iorn there not too expensive.
I think you could if you had to. Just make sure there isn't any product residue left on the straightener...that would suck to get it on your clothes. :)
lol nope they could catch on fire. answer mine?
