Can you get highlights done 2 mo. after you had the chi hair straightener done?

I had the chi hair straightening treatment done about 2 months ago, and now I wanta get hightlights, does any one know if this is ok? Thanks in advance.Can you get highlights done 2 mo. after you had the chi hair straightener done?
They do multiple things like that at hair salons all the time on the same visit.........I think 2 months is plenty.
