I want to buy a car power inverter to power a hair straightener. How many watts do I need?

you will only need a 120w power inverter if that but a bigger one would be better incase you use it for other things later on you can always go up in watts and get a bigger supply rather than a smaller one that wont work as well for example this one would be perfect http://www.crutchfield.com/p_7992294/Wag… it has a few power sockets and it connects to the battey would be good for camping putting a tv in etcI want to buy a car power inverter to power a hair straightener. First, look at the power sticker on the hair straightener. It should say something like ';120v 40watts';. Purchase a 12volt to 120 volt power converter with a continous output wattage of about 300-500watts. You can use this converter not just for the hair straightener but for other things is needed. Start the vehicle, plug in the converter into the lighter plug and you're all set. Best of luck.I want to buy a car power inverter to power a hair straightener. How many watts do I need?
you shouldnt straighten your hair when you drive its dangerous. but if you must, they do make cigarette lighter hair straighteners so you dont have to worry about a power inverter.
You need a 12V - 110V converter. Your car is 12, your hair thing is 110
