I have extremly thick hair and if you want a straightener that is gonna work you are gonna half to spend about 100-150 dollars.

I use a Chi. It was somewhat expensive...175 but i love it.

I know that thick hair is very hard to manage but nothing is gonna work for 20-30 dollars. if that is your only price range go to CVS or Wallmart they are gonna have one for that price. My friend uses one from CVS but she has only normal hair. And she says it barely works takes forever to heat up and does nothing. GO for the more expensive one you are gonna be so much happier. THe CHI is awsome... heats up to 400 degrees within a couple seconds but neverr buy one of the wet to dry straighteners because that totally damages your hair!!

Also straightening you should not do every day. Maybe no more than 2 times a week...
I have really thick hair also and i bought this one:

its works really good, maybe not as good as the $200 ones but definitely worth it for the price.

Good Luck:))
