I have really curly hair and chi is the ONLY straightener that works for me, so I recommend them for EVERYONE. you throw down a little more cash, but they are much more sturdy and work wonders.Whats the best hair straightener / flat iron to get for my hair?
if you can afford it

a ghd is the best

its the ones they use in the hair dressers

the ghd do not over straighten the hair

the plates r coated with silk extracts

and leave ur normal moustur in ur haie

and add mousture and shine while you straighten

these can cost about $300 but thats australian prices
my hair salon stylist totally recommended the Chi. She used it on my hair after blow-drying it. I say it works AMAZING, my hair is literally silky and japanese straight... and I have tough, frizzy, curly hair!

I've also been thinking about getting the Sapphire Solano, works just as great! Both pricy, but totally worth it.
Don't get Chi it suxs!!

I use one call Hair Professional. I have extremely curly and frizzy hair and its very hard for me to get a totally straight look and ever since I started using this it has worked Marvelously!!

If you end up buying one but it doesnt fit to ur needs (like its not totally straightening) then u should use hair products like relaxers and then after ur hair drys then straighten it.. It might just work!!
GHD they work all the ime but when you use theese they are extremily hot. you have to use protecter all the time.

I bought a ';Hai'; about 3 years ago, and I LOVE it!!!! It heats up instantly. I got it at a salon, and they go for about the same price as a Chi. It's been dropped a thousand times and keeps working like a charm.
CHI is the best i have it and it leaves my hair straight and silky and i have naturally curly hair
CHI is great!! I use it every day and it works great... I have think and very wavy hair and my hair gets straight every day... if you have the money thats what you should buy... hope this helps%26lt;3
Conair, get a ceramic one though not a metal. There only 20 something bucks. And then use a balm to help from drying out.
t3 tourmaline

there ttly awsome
def. the Hana =]
GHD. wins hands down
i use GHD and it works really good =]]
Yes, I know exactly what you mean about wasting money on a bad straightener!!

I didn't want to do that either so I decided to do some serious research! Here's what I found...

Okay, I have been researching hair straighteners for like 3 months (yes, really!). You need to decide for yourself but the top brands seem to be: Sedu and ghd. I know you may have NEVER heard of ';Sedu'; because it is sold exclusively through the world's largest online beauty store, Folica.com

You need to look for one with:

*** Toumaline technology (hair naturally produces positive ions, but toumaline produces extra negative ions and therefore smooths the hair cuticle and means less damage is done)

*** So look for a ceramic (NOT cermaic coated, it has to be all ceramic) plate straightener with Tourmaline infused into the plates.

I e-mailed ghd and they do NOT use toumaline (t-or-ma-line). Also they do not have adjustable heat settings so it remains at a constant high temperature which is NOT good for all hair types.

*** So look for adjustable temperature.

*** A good straightener (or ';flat iron';) goes to minimum 200 degrees Celcius.

*** A swivel cord so that it doesn't get tangled and annoy you while straightening.

-I have heard that the brand 'CHI' is REALLY BAD, some have CAUGHT on FIRE!! (Seriosuly). I would urge you not to buy one! (See: http://www.amazon.com/Flat-Recall-Fire-B/a> )

Sedu straighteners have all of the above features, check out Sedu straighteners at: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Flat__360_1.h/a>

They have SO many reviews of people with thick (even ethnic) curly, frizzy hair and they say it straightens their hair really well (and fast)! For great customer reviews (from people who actually own it) go to: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_r1/a> and scroll down.

All the best :-) (I think I'm going to get a Sedu.)
