Can you bring hair straightener's on a plane?

Im going to the netherlands, i've never been on a plane, so what kind of things can i bring? If i cant bring it on the plane, can i still bring it on my suit case? Can you bring hair straightener's on a plane?
I checked the American Airlines HP just to make sure, and yes, you can take your hair straightener with you on the plane. But, it is my advice to put into your suitcase unless you plan to use it on the plane or at the airport, because it's just going to be dead weight that you have to lug around the airport.

Electricity in Netherlands is 220 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. If you travel to Netherlands with a device that does not accept 230 Volts at 50 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter. Also, the electric outlets are shaped different (2 hole prong), so you will also need an adapter for this.

Some hotels have 110-volt or 120-volt outlets for hair dryers/shavers that you can use, so you might want to check with your hotel in advance.

Due to all the security precautions and restrictions lately, it is getting harder and harder to take stuff onto the plane. My advice, make your carry on as light as possible. I like to take a neck pillow, an extra blanket, an eye mask so I can sleep on the plane as comfortably as possible. I also take an extra pair of socks to wear, since I usually take my shoes off during long flights. (The pressure will make your legs and feet get puffy) And since sometimes the food is really gross, I take some snacks with me (either cookies or crackers that travel well. If you're taking fresh foods, remember that it has to be either eaten by the time you land, or left behind on the plane. You can't take it with you due to customs and other regulations)

I hope you have a great trip! Can you bring hair straightener's on a plane?
If you're talking about the iron, yes, you can pack it in either your carry on or the checked bag. If you're talking chemical straightener, you will have to check it unless it's under 3 oz and in a 1 qt ziploc bag.

Remember 3-1-1. No liquids more than 3 ozs, all sealed in a 1 qt bag, and no more than 1 bag per passenger. Nothing sharp, scissors, razors, clippers etc in carry on luggage.
