How do you clean a hair straightener?

Make sure that it is off and not plugged in. Next you need to get a warm wash rag and put a lil bit of soap on it,,carefully rub the rag on the heat plates for a couple minutes:)

Make sure to dry it off completely before using!!

There are specific Iron cleaners that you can purchase at beauty supply stores. I buy mine at ';sally's beauty supply.'; It's safer for the ceramic on the straightening iron and will help protect it further.
Damp rag with warm water and a drip off soap.
Use a baby wipe when they are cold - easy and cheap!
