Wut do hair straighteners do to your hair?

how do they damage them, i mean wut does the damage do like make it fall out or sumit! lolWut do hair straighteners do to your hair?
if you have relaxed your hair and you have ,breakage, hair loss, dull, brittle, dry, then you have your hair over processed.;meaning that you have your hair damage, the straightener ;either was too strong,or you leave it in your hair for more time than it was expected,(and if you have tinted previously ,it will make a faster reaction in your hair)so ,what relaxers do is ;change the aspect of your hair,(i mean, from curly to straight)but you need to take in consideration,if your hair is fine, tinted, coarse .etc.;to choose the best formula for you.anyway, you need to reconstruct your hair again,(conditioning),and if it is extremely damaged, you should cut it to stop the breakage, because your hair has become fragile, sensitive, and damagedWut do hair straighteners do to your hair?
it strightens it like if you hold it too long on ONE strnd it will burn it but thats it
No, not that sort of damage. They can make your hair more brittle though.

Basically, your hair shafts are very delicate. Using intense heat damages your hair follicles, which can make them brittle or dry.

My advice? Don't use a straightner every day. Instead use it once or twice a week. Also, try to use a hot oil treatment once a week. It will really help to repair any damage.
wow they straighten it duh!!!!!!!!!
If you straighten it too much, it will fall out. Because it probaly will be too hot and it will burn your hair out. That's all I really know. Sorry, I hope you like my answer!!!!!!!!!! Take Care!!!!!!!!
Hair straighteners are notorious for drying our your hair and that can lead to split ends. Some of the cheaper models have bad thermostats and can get extremely hot and even burn your hair! Yuck! It's always a great idea to buy a heat resistant leave-in cream and use that before you use the hair straightener this will keep your hair moisturized.
Well, being a person that hates her thick curly hair and loves to straighten it, straightners damage your hair because the heat can be so strong that it will damage the follicles that give it its shine and health...thats why many people have it poofy and with split ends, this can also make it fallout bc it is like if you burned it, and if it is burned you would notice that when your hair is straight, one or another hair might be curly looking thus simulating that you might have left the iron on too long or that you are straightening it too often....thats why it is recommended that you only do it aleast once a month
It depends on what kind of hair you have.If it's thin it'll kill your hair. Otherwise, it just straitens your hair.
they dry it out and basically fry it, dont straighten it too too much or your hair will become really damaged
i use one, nothing has happened to mine yet but if you use them everyday they like fry your hair and make it look dead, kinda burnt i geuss.
It will damage your hair if you don't use a ceramic hair straightener. It will also damage your hair if you don't use a heat protectant spray, and it will damage your hair if you straighten your hair everyday.
It burns your hair. Have you ever wandered how hot one of those gets? VERY hot! So it burns it off.
it makes it crunchy very very dry, nasty

straightened damaged hair can be very ugly

they'll have these crimpy wavy week strands

must be very carefull not to get to carried away on how often you use it
they damage ur hair into postion! do it if u want to kill ur hair!
they straighten your hair

(add me as your best answer)
Well, my straightener of course straightens my hair. Except, I have poofy hair, so it makes me have big hair. When it does, my hair time to time falls off...strand by strand.
The drastic heat that a straightener gives to your hair will cause split ends and possibly dry out your hair. This will take some time to happen--maybe three to four months. Simply get your hair trimmed often and use a deep conditioner to keep hair moisturized. I have been using hair straighteners for years and I do these two things and have not run into any problems.
the lye in it causes breakage but you can prevent it by using the right products
You get split ends and your hair starts to fall out
if your using a hot iron to straighten your hair, heat damages your hair.
The heat from the straightners/curling irons/blow dryers cause your hair to become brittle which causes split ends and breakage. It also causes your hair to become dry. BE CAREFUL!!! ALWAYS ALWAYS use a heat defense spray, such as Tresemee Instant Heat Tamer or V05 Miracle Mist (both protect hair against damages from heat). And if you are getting breakage and/or split ends, use Dove Therapy shampoo and conditioner. It repairs damage. For extra damage treatment, use Dove Repairing Treatment Conditioner. Believe me all the products I have mentioned will get rid of and prevent damage.
Hair dressers say don't use it every day, and they do damage your hair. By split-ends thining out your hair. Also besides straighten it all the products you put in your hair aren't good either.
straighens your hair.
Most straighteners damage your hair. IT dries your hair out. I would reccomend getting Thermasilk shampoo. It helps your hair and leaves it nto as dry as it would if you used regular shampoo...
Straighten hair ?
Sumit? Geeeeeeeeeeeeez. The answer is in the question!
they straighten your hair, im an idiot and i know that
they dont do any damage. they just staighten your hair, the coniar wet 2 straight ceramic staightener really works good, it works on any hair type because their is like a bunch of stuff to choose from and so much variety.......
Umm i think that straighteners kind of burn your hair with out seeing it becasue when i was a little kid my hair was all sliky smooth but now that i straightin my hair my hair has got less sliky and smooth but you can take care of your hair by washing it with conditioner every day then your hair wont be so damaged.
Hair straighteners can straighten your hair and depending on how long/short your hair is, will depend on how long you will have to hold the straightener on your hair to get as straight as you want it (just like a culing iron when you try to curl your hair) Straighening your hair every day can do some serious damage to it, so help help stop the damage before it starts, you may want to use a heat protectorant on your hair such as Thermasilk protecting spray. The spray is cheap and works great!
make your hair faqll out but does straighten it out for a day or less.
