Sedu works best. I have use one and I've had it for about 3 years and it still works like I just got it yesterday. You can get one at Ulta or folica.com. Its about $125 and worth it! You can always read reviews off of folica.com. I bought mine from there and its the number one rated for best flat iron on the site. Hope I helped. Take care. =]What Hair Straightener Would You Recommend For Someone With Thick Hair?
the maxi glide!!!
Well, I have thick and natually curly hair. So I got the Curlmaster Ceramics straightener. It heats up to 425 degress and is ready in 60 seconds. I got mine at a Sallys store for $50.
THE MAXIGLIDE IS GREAT WITH ALL HAIR TYPES AND IT DOESNT DAMAGE MY HAIR I USE MINES ONCE A WEEK BUT IT YOU USE IT ALOT IT CAN BE DAMAGING!

tHE CHI IRON BREAKS YOUR HAIR!!!!!

You can get the maxiglide at linens n things for $80

or at bed bath and beyond for the same price
I am assuming you are African American and when you say hair straightener you mean relaxer. I highly recommend Affirm. really straightens every strand and leaves it silky and smooth. It's slightly expensive.

Update: thanks for the thumbs down and insult..REPORTED
I have thick curly hair and i used a Chi and a GHD they both work wonderful and they dont damage you hair as bad as other straighteners. The chi and ghd are expensive but they are worth every penny.
get a CHI they work REALLY GOOD on all hair types :D though they are about 90 dollars, they are 100% worth it.
you can get a relaxer you have to get it done right and your welcome !
Sedu or Revlon:

Sedu is more expensive, but if your hair is very crazy, it would be worth it. Revlon also works very well with most types of hair.
id recommend GHD straighteners for any hair, especially thick. if you pay for a good one, you WILL get a good one :) it really is worth it if you straighten your hair every day like i do.
if i was you id get the GHD wjich is available in Peter Marks or on the internet..

its brilliant!! its a bit pricy at 鈧?55 but i dunno what that translates to in another currency probably about 拢90..
i would recommend the CHI.

sure it's expensive, but it works great with thick hair, doesn't damage it, and gives amazing results.

the only downside is that it's expensive.

but i think its worth it :)

oh yeah, DONT get any straightener on ebay. you never know what might be wrong with it.

and i have NO CLUE what that other girl is talking about but the CHI does NOT BREAK YOUR HAIR!

iv been using mine for 2 years and i use it almost everyday.
i have thick and curly hair, and i use my chi every day!!! it is amazing. lol. little expensive, but totally worth it b/c it saves me time in the morning when im getting readsy. like 15-20 minutes!!!
