Whats the best hair straightener for VERY VERY VERY THICK HAIR?

I have really really thick hair.

I have tried chi and cortex.....both haven't been that great.

Is there a better ceramic iron out there? Or am i not straightening my hair right?Whats the best hair straightener for VERY VERY VERY THICK HAIR?
GHD is the best straightener in the entire world. I swear by it. It not only straightens hair but makes it shine.Whats the best hair straightener for VERY VERY VERY THICK HAIR?
The thicker the hair, the harder to straighten it. Have a straightener that includes chemicals inside the heated bars to soften your hair. [so it doesn't get damaged] You also need a type of thermal styling spray to also prevent damage to your hair. All you need is a straightener that can reach up to very high temperatures and thermal styling spray. (: The brand doesn't matter much.
Try the ';baby bliss';ceramic flat iron! My friend is ethnic and has very course thick hair and this works great for her. Try using a wider flat iron that should also help. Also, try going to a stylist that specializes in ethnic hair, they have old fashion hot combs that will leave your hair straight for 5-7 days.
Have u tried a Straightening Comb AKA Hot comb. Black people use them because we have the thickest hair of all. You can find them at sally hansen beauty supply or any large beauty supply. I bet if you tried it you'll never use a flat iron again. Some are plug in but i think the best are the kind you sit on the stove, But be careful with the ones you sit on the burner cause they get hot really fast and could burn your hair out. Good luck.
umm use ghds they are the best around umm section your hair into parts so straighten your hair in sections and use a good heat protector then just keep on unclipping little bits of hair slowly so you end up spending alot of tiime but you end up getting it even and getting it right :) hope i helped x
The two that you suggest are both really great. You need to try and take smaller sections and go over the sections about three or four times, after you brush it out or comb it. Move slower through the sections.
The chi is really good. My hair is thick too and it worrked for me. Make sure you're straightening in sections that aren't too big. That should do it.
I have pretty thick hair, and the chi works for me. maybe you are straightening your hair in large sections, try smaller sections. :)
