damaged hair does not always break away on the ends only. Picture broken frizzy hair all over, not just on the ends.
Also, if in 3-4 months, a new do becomes popular that does not involve straight hair, how you gonna change if all your hair broke off and is ratty and frizzy looking. it takes months to regrow since most hair grows at a rate of only 1/2 inch a month.
As you said, it ';sometimes'; looks kind of cool. What if it damages in an uncool way? You have more choices and options with healthy hair than you do with damaged hair.
I'm not sure how much hair straightener can damage your hair, but know many people who have been straightening their hair for years and it doesn't look damage at all. Although if it does damage your hair, ofcourse it matters because it damages hair.

Yeah it damaged your hair and you don't really want damaged hair and plus you'll be bald later in life. Don't you want your hair to look healthy i mean who wants to have dead looking hair.........

Damaged hair could POSSIBLY turn you bald. That's what I've heard.
Maybe a lot of split ends too. It would look messy.

Idk about you, but I think damaged hair looks horrible. Hair should be healthy.
