All flat irons do damage to your hair, the best thing to do is to not use them every single day. And when you do, use good thermal protection on your hair (I like to use Straight followed by Smooth Down Heat Glide both by Redken).

If you are interested in purchasing a flat iron check out www.folica.com. They have customer reviews so you can do research on the most reliable best working brands.

Personally I have used several over the years...CHI, Paul Mitchell, FHI...My favorite is the one I am currently using. It is the Paul Brown Hawaii. Ive been using it for over 2 years and it still works beautiful. My friend uses the Sedu on all her clients %26amp; she likes that brand. I guess it just depends on personl preference. Anyway..hope that helps.

Good luck :)
