For permanent straightening I highly recommend Thermal Reconditioning (also known as Japanese straightening) as oppsed to chemical straightener. Thermal reconditioning will be more expensive, but its not nearly as damaging, and you will be able to wash your hair, and let dry naturally without any styling, it will be perfectly straight and shiny.

If your hair is not eligible for Thermal reconditioning due to excessive damage, I would than recommend a Brazilian Keratin Treatment. This will not make your hair as straight as Japanese straightening. But it will make your hair quick and easy to straighten, and your hair will be 100% frizz free. Personnaly, I prefer the brazilian ove TR only because I can do the Brazilian at home myself, so its much cheaper.

This is my hair before and after a brazilian:

As far as straighteners go, you see how curly my hair is in the before pic, corioliss did not work for me at all. GHD's are really good, but I found it very damaging. I think the best straightener is the FHI Platform.

I'm not a specialist, but I've read a few product reviews here:

they seem to be professional irons..

also, I've read about two great ways to permanently straighten your hair

the brazilian way:

and the japanese way:

but if you prefer to use the iron, there are some cool tips on how to ';super straighten'; your hair:

these are my favorite sites! they have everything I ever looked for!

good luck with your straightening!
i had the same problem i have really fizzy hair and i tried SO many different Straighteners and they never worked first of all you need to make sure that whichever hair Straightener you buy goes up to 230 degrees if it doesn't it will do you noo good i found this 1 hair Straightener that works best for me its nutri heat heres a link where you can see what it looks like and check it out

http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s/a>

if the link dosnt work then jus go to www.boots.com and search for it but its reallllyyyy good and plus it keeps your hair healthy and strong the capsules you need are quite expensive aswell but you dont need to use them all the time, i dont but it used to take me like an hour to straghit my hair now it takes me about 20mins and its like poker straghit plus if ur gna get your hair permanantly straghtened it would probz cost the same price and doin it permanat will proper damage your hair and you will regret it as it would be harder for you to style it so i defently recomend this i kno its pricey but once you get it ur hair problems will be solved
Best STRAIGHTENER : Tresemme Or Remington

And if your hair is light dont permenate straight it because i went to the beautition the women said if i do my hair will damage your hair and it will break off but if your hairs dark then its fine but it will tend to lighten if you perm it hope i helped hunny
I'm a hairdresser and I use corioliss hair straighteners on my hair. They are alot better than GHD's and around the same price. Hope this helps
