What is the best hair straightener for long, thick hair?

i have really thick hair, and it isnt frizzy and curly, just long and wavey, but i have had lot's of trouble with hair straighteners in the past.

i have heard amika and chi and sedu are good options, but the ones i have seen have thin plates. should i get a thick plated or a thin plated? thank you so much! What is the best hair straightener for long, thick hair?

Get your hair perm. straightened. It's a lot better for your hair than straightening it anyway. Besides, it only lasts like 6 months to a year. And it would keep electricity bills down somewhat. :D
get GHDS i have a pair and they work brill but use heat protection spray =]
