Do hair straighteners start getting weaker over time?

by weaker i mean cooler as in not as hot. cuz ive had my striaghtener almost 2 years and now even on a high heat, it straightens the top layers pretty good but the bottom/thicker layers and the back absolutely will not straighten unless i spend hours on it. i used to be able to do my whole hair in like 15 min. so do they get less hot over time with alot os use?Do hair straighteners start getting weaker over time?
everything does, this is tied to the laws of entropy.Do hair straighteners start getting weaker over time?
i have a really expensive hair straightner and i did find that after 2 years it did start to get weaker.... so i would imagine that a cheap one like revlon would go much faster then that.
It makes sense. Either that or your outlet is getting weeker, or your hair is getting thicker. Try straightening it in thinner layers, or maybe just get your hair layered.
It's probably time to get a new one... It's slowly passing on the world of burnt out light bulbs and toasters...
yes they do, well the cheap ones do.

depends how good your straightner is.
