Ok so i have a remington wet to straight hair straightener ive heard all the time that it doesnt damage your hair but mine is totally damaged and now its all frizzy and stuff and ive only been using it for like a year now and i really really do not want to cut my hair because its like dead now my hair is like who i am and like yeah any other ways to keep my hair straight? or to keep it from getting damaged ? also could anybody recommend any other cool hairstyles that maybe i could try cause ive had the same hair for quite a while and btw if i dont straighten my hair i look horrible and my hair poofs out like 5 inches everywhere so yeahHair straighteners and how to keep my hair straight?
dry your hair ALL THE WAY before you straighten it. put a product that will keep it from burning on before straightening (bedhead super skinny serum works well). if you want it straightened all the time you can get it chemically straightened, and then it will be straight for a couple of months. you can also try curling your hair sometimes... it might look nice. ask your hair cutter about what style would look good on you. they often have very good advice.

good luck!

hope this helps.Hair straighteners and how to keep my hair straight?
I had the same exact hair straightener and it made my hair frizzy to the craziest extent. Make sure u don't use it when your hair is wet cause that causes a lot of frizz. You could cut the ends since you may have split ends, also use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and occasionally a deep conditioner, i use suave naturals coconut shampoo and conditioner which helped my dry hair. Before you straighten, try using shampoo and conditioner designed specifically for helping hair become straight. For example, everyone is using that garnier fructise sleek and shine stuff which i haven't personally used but i guess it must be good. Then it's your choice to blow dry but i don't, i let my hair air dry and then i spray olive oil nourishing sheen spray throughout my hair and add some heat protectant on my ends. The olive oil spray helps make my hair soft and shiny and helps with dry hair. I know your a guy so i guess this might seem girly but i dunno, it's all for your hair right ? So uhm anywaysz, you can use a straight iron preferably with ceramic plates since that is less damage then those other stuff. Also for hairstyles, you could get braids or brush your hair back into a pony tail and i think with a nourishing and moisturing shampoo and conditioner, your hair in the back will be soft and manageable. Also gel is a bestfriend, don't be afraid to use it. Preferably something with no alcohol because gel with alcohol in it causes dryness and many times, dandruff.
i would definitely assume a wet to dry straightener would fry your hair.

i recommend a chi by all means.
think about it: your using an electrical unit that already is damaging enough. When u apply it to wet hair it is actually burning your hair from within the shaft because the temperature actually increases a bit. Hate to say it but go for the more expensive straighteners but what ever you do do not by a conair straitener those r cheaply made and can damage your hair. does the mall where ever u live has a mini store or stand just for straighteners where i live they sell this brand called correliss or whatever thats supposed to be better than chi the cheapest was 100 bucks if u want something a bit cheaper make sure to look for the wourld tourmaline or something like that...that is a specially designed plate that keeps even heat distribution less frizz and straighter hair
I use a chi and it works really well I would recomend them too.
