What is the best hair straightener?

I have a Babyliss pro 230 elegance, which was 拢79.99 and apparentley is the UKs best selling straightener, but was wondering what staightener works better, and is a GHD as good? What is the best hair straightener?
I have a Chi and a Babyliss and I think they both work well BUT it also depends on the products you use prior to using the flat iron and the method you use to dry your hair. My hair is VERY curly and if I let it air dry I prefer to control the heat and the Babyliss lets me do that vs the Chi, but if my hair is round brushed dry and already 1/2 way straight I prefer the Chi. I hear the GHD is supposed to be the best if you are trying to straighten your hair while it's wet but I haven't used it personally. Hope this helps. What is the best hair straightener?
CHI is definitely the best. Very expensive though.
CHI is the BEST!!!!!!
GHDs all the way! they're not a straight hair straightener.

i've had mine for over 2 and half years and have no regrets.

they do everything, they curl, wave, obviously straighten and they can even make those cute summer waves (the kinda crimping effect) the new ones have a sleep mode so they won't keep burning if you forget to turn them off.

they heat up in about 15 seconds and they've got a whole load of products which'll actually keep the style that's you've just with your GHD's all day. so yeah they are completely multi purpose and last for ages, they've always given my hair this really nice shiny finish afterwards as well. =]
I know tons of people have already said this but, the CHI is the best hair straightener. Try to use a thermal protective spray or something along those line so you won't damage your hair as much.

nothing can beat chi!!!!!!!!!! i love ittttt
I like CHI but I heard the GHD is pretty good. As long as it has multi-setting heat levels, you should be good.
I'm definitely a Hot Tools fan. It really gets it straight without any chemicals and it makes the hair look both shiny and smooth. And I've been doing it for years now a few times a week and my hair is still healthy!
The CHI, hands down.
